Open city is a Ontario College of Art and Design and City of Toronto effort to show design solutions for real neighborhoods in Toronto. While in the past OCAD has not planted a lot of real issues into it's community this effort is great. OCAD for many years has trained it's eye on teaching students traditional forms of industrial design , graphic arts etc, sometimes without the actual nailing down and building of real efforts that affect people. This show is worth seeing if you are concerned about Toronto as a city- it's really on the cut... seeing and telling what many people know - but are hesitate to say.
