Is the Hole in the Wall the place to be?

Dundas St. South side at Keele St.

Recently, this author has heard of many people frequenting the Hole in the Wall. Is this establishment filling a void caused by the departure of the Troubadour?

The Hole in the Wall, has a warm and definitely cozy atmosphere, with great local brews on offer. They are slowly introducing a small food menus, that seem to follow a theme each weekend...comfort foods, artisan cheeses etc.

Many people this author knows are enjoying this revitalized pub with its great music and inviting environment.

Is the neighborhood still lacking places where neighbors can gather and unwind after a long week?

  2. yes, it is a fantastic bar and fits the vibe of the community. they have done a great job and hope that they hit it for the 3rd attempt at making "the hole in the wall" work...
they have my support and would love to see more establishments like this in the junction...the indie ale house also couldn't come soon enough...

  4. the area is definitely lacking some great local hang outs. The soon to open 3030 seems like it's having an identitiy crisis and still deciding on the type of place it wants to be. We need a nice local hang out, such as the types of places you'd find along Roncesvalles. The Hole in the Wall has a great atmosphere and the introduction of a menu is great!!

  5. I totally went there and got really drunk. Also had a nice extended drunken chat with the new owner. Love this place. Reminds me of NYC.

  6. Not a fan of the people that took it over. Hipster style over actual authenticity. Good beers though and I heard that they finally have a working kitchen. I miss the Troub.
