Following a link in a comment by A.R. this blog found a very interesting article on the Symes Road Incinerator.
It is quite detailed and interesting.
It is worth the read, he states the need to preserve the building, something which this blog agrees with. Now the building is being transferred to Build Toronto for sale or lease.
