Bedford Furniture Industries Inc. site

Bedford Furniture Industries Inc. known to many people as King Koil - a mattress manufacturer sold it's historical manufacturing site on February 24, 2006 for $14,700,000, an industrial building located on Weston Road south of Sheppard Avenue West in Toronto.



The City of Toronto has on June 10th 2008 adopted the Damaris Dev. Inc proposal to develop the site into a residential development. Public space areas in the development will include an area along the southern boundary of the development as the appropriate location for parkland dedication - which is required to be provided of Damaris, and a public lane. In addition Damaris must provide $175.00.00 Section 37 contribution towards playground improvements to Louise Russo and Strathburn Parks.
