Join us at our next workshop in The Junction, Growing a More Sustainable Neighbourhood!
From 6:00 - 6:30 pm, join us to receive an update on Project Neutral, meet your neighbours and participate in a discussion about about the changes you want to see in your neighbourhood.
From 6:30 - 8:00 pm, we have a trio of terrific speakers lined up for you to enjoy, followed by a Q & A session.
- Jessica Piskorowski from LEAF will talk about the importance of enhancing the urban forest in your own backyard and how it can reduce your energy use. She will also discuss the impact of carbon sequestration relating to tree age and canopy size.
- Kevin Mercer of RiverSides will talk about climate change adaptation and greenhouse gas mitigation in relation to household rain harvesting.
- Ran Goel from Fresh City Farms will talk about growing locally-sourced organic produce and how you can get involved, whether as a consumer or aspiring farmer.
This is a FREE, family-friendly workshop. Light refreshments will be available.
